Cosy Village Play Cafe is a small cafe with a play area consisting of several role play areas and a wendy house for toddlers plus a separate section for babies. The cafe has just reopened under new management. We have visited quite a few soft play/role play places over the years. This is one of our favourites. It’s small and friendly, yet packed with plenty of toys to stimulate young imaginations and keep children entertained. We loved it here.

How to get to Cosy Village Play Cafe

The Cafe is on the main road (Wimborne Road) in Kinson, 4 miles north of central Bournemouth. By road, it is reached via the A347, then turning onto the A341 (Wimborne Road).

By Bus

Bus No 11 stops at The Acorn, just opposite the cafe. Bus No 5 stops at Library, a minute’s walk away.

Access

There is flat access to the cafe with everything on one level.

Parking

There are a few parking options nearby with free roadside parking in neighbouring streets There is a small car park to the rear in Pound Lane. Alternatively, Tesco, Kinson Communtiy Centre and Pelhams Park all have car parks within a few minutes walk.

Opening Times

The cafe is open from Monday to Friday with the day being split into three sessions as follows:

• 9.15 am – 10.45 am
• 11 am – 12.30 pm
• 1.15 pm – 2.45 pm

Weekends are reserved for private parties, which can be booked via the website.

Price

• The price is £6 for one child.
• There is a sibling discount; £10 for two children.
• In addition, there is currently an offer on the final session of the day, which is reduced to just £3 per child.

Suitable for age

The cafe is suitable for children up to the age of 5.

Details

Role Play Village

Orla loved the role play village which has a house packed with gadgets, fire station, worshop, market and beauty salon. There are plenty of other role play toys such as a doctor’s cart and flower cart. Orla particularly enjoyed scanning groceries in the market. A small road runs along the front of the village with some ride on vehicles.

Wendy House

The Wendy House is reached via a ladder and makes a fun little den area for older children.

Baby Section

There is a separate baby section with a ball pit, activity mat, busy boards etc. It also has a comfy nursing chair.

Food & Drink

The cafe serves very reasonably priced snacks and drinks. A toddler’s lunch deal consisting of a sandwich, drink and choice of 3 other items (Orla chose a yoghurt, crisps and a snack bar) costs £3.25.

Toilets/Changing Facilities

There are toilets with a well stocked changing area.
